This is the coolest thing I have been involved with for quite some time. Which U87 is the best? We did a shootout of two modern U87Ai, vintage U87, Pelosi P87, Dachman D87, a Eric O.‘s home-brew, and a Slate ML-1 modeling mic. Capturing female vocals, male vocals, acoustic guitar, and a variety of percussion instruments, we have a good data corpus for some blind subjective tests.
